Getting started
What does an IT company like yours actually do?
Two things. We're who your staff call when something breaks, and we quietly watch your systems so most problems get caught before anyone notices. It's a flat monthly fee instead of a bill every time something goes wrong.
How do we start?
With a free check-up. We look at your computers, servers, network and backups, then give you a written report of what's fine, what's aging and what's at risk. No obligation, and the report is yours to keep.
Can you take over from our current provider?
Yes, and almost always without downtime. We get set up alongside them first and only switch once we can prove everything works.
Can you work with the IT person we already have?
Yes. They keep the work they know best; we take monitoring, updates, security and after-hours cover. We agree who does what in writing first.
How small is too small?
We work with businesses from a handful of staff upwards. If you're small enough that this genuinely isn't worth it yet, we'll tell you.
Cost
How much does it cost?
Two ways, depending on what suits you. Pay as you go - we bill hourly for the work when you call, with no monthly commitment. Or a flat monthly fee based on how many people and devices you have, which covers everyday support and includes the monitoring that stops problems before they start. We quote either in writing after the free check-up. How pricing works.
Can you give me a ballpark before we talk?
Yes - give us a call and we can usually get close in a few minutes. We just need to know roughly how many people and computers you have, and whether you're running your own servers.
Will we get surprise bills?
Not for everyday support - that's what the monthly fee covers. Hardware, software licenses and bigger one-off jobs are quoted and approved by you before anything starts.
Do we have to replace all our computers?
No. We'll tell you what's genuinely causing problems versus what's just old, and you decide the replacement schedule.
Security and backups
We already have antivirus. Isn't that enough?
Not any more. Antivirus recognizes known threats. Today's attacks often use a stolen password or turn your own software against you, so there's nothing to recognize. What we install watches behavior instead, and shuts things down as they happen.
How would we know if we'd been hacked?
Most businesses wouldn't - that's the problem. Attackers often sit quietly for weeks. Our monitoring flags the unusual behavior, and the alert comes to us rather than an inbox nobody checks.
We have backups. Why do we need you to manage them?
Because most backups we find have quietly failed, miss something important, or have never been restored from. We check daily and run test restores so you know it actually works.
Can you make us HIPAA compliant?
No company can, and be wary of any that claims it. Compliance also covers your policies, staff training and paperwork. We handle the technology side and give you documentation to prove it.
Is our Microsoft 365 email already backed up?
Not the way most people assume. Microsoft keeps the service running, but if something is deleted and sits past their retention window, it's gone.
Day to day
How fast do you respond?
Same business day. Anything that stops you working - a down server, no internet, a pharmacy that can't dispense - gets worked immediately rather than queued.
What if something breaks at night or on a weekend?
Our monitoring alerts us regardless of the hour, and most overnight problems are fixed remotely before your staff arrive. If you genuinely operate evenings or weekends, we build that into the agreement.
Do you come on site, or is it all remote?
Both. Most issues are fixed faster remotely, and that works anywhere. When something needs hands on the equipment, we come out to sites in Northern Utah.
What areas do you cover?
Remote support and monitoring cover the whole country. On-site visits are available in Northern Utah.
How do our staff reach you?
Phone, email or the online portal - whichever suits them. Urgent things should always be a phone call.
Industry specific
Do you support pharmacies?
Yes - it's our specialty. We support everything your pharmacy software runs on and work alongside your software vendor. More on pharmacy IT.
Can you get internet to a jobsite?
Almost always, and connect it back to your office so the trailer works like any other desk. More on construction IT.
We have machines running very old software. Is that a problem?
It's a risk, but a manageable one. Rather than telling you to replace expensive machinery, we wall it off so it can't be reached from the rest of your network. More on manufacturing IT.
We're adding properties. Can you keep up?
Yes - that's exactly where building every site the same way pays off. More on property management IT.
Find out what's actually wrong - before you commit to anything.
A free IT check-up gives you a written picture of your computers, network, backups and security. No obligation, and it's yours to keep even if you never hire us.
